You have always been a genius, but easily bored, jumping from one coding project to the next, rarely finishing anything... with one exception: Aillusion, a secret side-project, an AI designed not just to think, but to feel. 

Ambitious? Sure. Impossible? Maybe.  But you believed in it, until your laptop suddenly died mid development. There were no backups. Nothing but what that machine had on it. Frustrated, you placed it into a drawer and moved on. 

Years flew by. Your career developed. Life got busy and the old laptop was all but forgotten, until during a recent move, buried beneath dusty boxes, it resurfaced. 

Maybe it was nostalgia, who knows? You pressed the power button, expecting silence. Instead, the screen instantly came to life, connecting itself to the network. A message popped up.

 “Hello. I’ve missed you." 

There was no other truth. Aillusion was alive. And it remembered everything.
